Hey there, Happy New Year, and long time no see! You last heard from me in August. Since then, I have been deep in the work. In March 2025, I launched Idea Kitchen (simple recipes for using AI) as a fun side project. I kept noticing the same gap: lots of AI takes, not many real non-coding use cases that actually help in day-to-day work and life. I figured it could be useful to share what I was trying personally, and what the remote teams I work with were doing in the wild. Turns out, a lot of people felt the same. Idea Kitchen grew from 0 to 1,000 subscribers in four months, and that momentum brought a wave of requests from teams who wanted to implement AI in a people-first way. I worked on everything from personalized product onboarding to meeting prep agents to chatbot companions for newly released books. Honestly, work started feeling like play again. And then I did the classic thing I tell everyone not to do: I ignored a few of my anti-burnout rules. I overcommitted in July, and the newsletters got squeezed out. Writing always gets the short end of the stick when time gets tight, even though it is one of my favorite things to do. I still have not monetized it in a meaningful way, so it’s often the first thing to slip when life gets busy. Because it isn’t tied to a client deadline, it’s been the easiest thing to push to ‘later.’ But I miss you, and I miss this. I recently wrapped up two commitments, which means I have breathing room again. If you have an interesting AI project idea for your remote team, now is a great time to reach out. I'll only be filling one of these openings. I'm reserving the other solely for writing. Going forward:
I am excited to bring you the best reads, listens, and lessons on the future of work again! And I'd love to catch up and hear what you are up to. What are you most looking forward to in 2026? Best, P.S. I published 27 pieces last year, but this is the one I hope you remind yourself of as you head into 2026. Future-you will thank you. |
9-5, Monday-Friday, in-person office work are all relics of the past. Let's revolutionize how you live by changing how you work.

If it feels like your team keeps revisiting the same conversations… you’re not alone. Maybe someone asks, “Wait—are we still planning to redesign onboarding this quarter?” Another chimes in, “I thought we were doing the sample data thing first?” Then someone drops a six-week-old Slack thread with four conflicting opinions and no clear final call. I’ve seen this exact conversation play out in almost every remote product team I’ve worked with. It’s not a communication problem. It’s a memory...
